Information

This is a call for interested parties to join the International Association of Supercomputing Centers (IASC). This is a new association for public-facing supercomputing centres offering public, private, and academic access to advanced computing resources that support regional advancement of knowledge and economic development and which are primarily financed with public funds.

The IASC has three strategic goals: to examine and communicate best practices for centre management, to study and suggest solutions for common challenges, and to foster communication and collaboration among centres, collaborators, and users.

The organisers strongly believe that there are a series of strategic and operational challenges unique to all supercomputing centres, that are currently being solved centre by centre across the globe. Examples include energy efficiency, roadmaps to net zero, outreach and industrial engagement, training strategies for next-generation staff, HPC adoption and integration HPC, cloud and quantum computing facilities.

IASC will select research based on member needs and discuss these common challenges to create best practices and to create evidence-based, actionable insight crowdsourced from the global community of supercomputing centres.
