HPE has a long history of supporting OpenMP in the Fortran, C, and C++ compilers provided in the HPE Cray Programming Environment. HPE values active participation in the OpenMP language committee and maintains a strong dedication to providing a leading-edge OpenMP implementation focused on high-performance computing. This talk will provide a brief history of HPE's OpenMP compiler; an overview of its structure, which integrates both proprietary and open-source LLVM components; and, a summary of several design choices that distinguish the HPE compiler from other OpenMP implementations.
