Chief Information Officer Ann Dunkin drives technology modernization and digital transformation efforts at the Department of Energy. At the heart of CIO Dunkin’s vision are the “enablers” – the people, processes, and practices that power innovation at scale. In this session, Chief Information Officer Ann Dunkin will highlight the U.S. Department of Energy's work with innovative digital technologies, including 5G and AI; discuss the role of DOE's transparent and inclusive governance structure to empower users across the enterprise; and reflect on partnering with industry and academia to achieve DOE mission objectives. As Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Energy, Ann Dunkin leads information technology service delivery, cybersecurity, and technology innovation efforts. CIO Dunkin serves as the Department’s senior official for cybersecurity, records management, privacy, information sharing and safeguarding, and controlled unclassified information. CIO Dunkin is also the Department’s lead official for spectrum management and 5G policy representative to the White House.
