Being national infrastructure, airports are prominent targets for both physical and cyber attacks. Recent research has revealed that over a fifth of UK critical national infrastructure decision makers now rank employee sabotage among the biggest risks to their organisation’s IT environment. Airports must stay ahead of the curve and remain vigilant. Cyber and aviation security have traditionally been treated separately, but with the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) and other related systems this leads to an increasingly interconnected mesh of cyber-physical systems, which in turn expands the attack surface. It is no longer strictly a technology concern, but people, processes, and technology are all at risk if proper precautions are not implemented. Join this session to:

  • Listen to airports discuss the security threats and countermeasures that they are employing
  • Learn about the threats that are on security experts’ radars
  • Gain insights into anticipating threats not yet known to us, as we need to be ready to protect airport infrastructure.
