This session will provide independent music companies with an overview of the financial options available in today’s music ecosystem. We will focus on advances against digital royalty streams. With a focus on the music finance platform, Pipeline and its partnership with Merlin as the financial partner for their network of members. As access to capital becomes an increasingly important driver of growth in the industry, Pipeline will discuss how these advances work in practice. This includes common structures, the key underwriting factors evaluated, and how companies can determine whether this type of financing is the right fit for their business. They will also address trends in IP acquisitions and creative financing approaches from Pipeline and others in the market.
