Panel Discussion
Information
Atlantic Canada is well-positioned for hydrogen development, but turning potential into reality requires confronting difficult truths. High capital costs, uncertain demand, workforce constraints, transmission bottlenecks, and global competition are shaping the pace and success of regional projects. This session explores both the opportunity and the obstacles: How do we make green hydrogen cost-competitive? What domestic uses can anchor early demand? What gaps risk slowing progress?
Speakers will outline where the region is strong, where it must improve, and the strategic decisions needed to build a viable hydrogen industry at home — with export potential as a second phase, not the only path forward.
