Ane is a recognised expert in plasma physics and electric propulsion with more than 60 scientific publications. She likes “impossible” challenges and biked from Oslo to Rome in 21 days (2940 km), runs half-marathon in 1h42 minutes. Ane holds a PhD from the Arctic University of Norway.

Josh Switkes is President and CEO of Peloton Technology Inc., a supplier and services company dedicated to assisting commercial drivers and fleets to be the safest and most efficient on the road. He has been working on systems to make driving safer and more efficient for the last 12 years. After his work at Stanford University on a variety of vehicle control systems, including guaranteeing safety for lanekeeping assistance and steering wheel haptic feedback, Josh developed production control systems for Volkswagen, Audi, and Tula Technology. How fast can you charge?

Zap&Go has developed a solution to the problems encountered by all the current generation of rechargeable appliances, devices and vehicles: slow charging. Called Carbon-Ion, in contrast to Lithium-ion, this technology is based on carbon nano-materials including the ‘wonder-material’ graphene. The result is ultra fast charging – in 5 minutes or less. The technology and a growing patent portfolio is in part derived from Oxford University, and in part developed independently by Zap&Go’s own scientists. The company is at capability stage with a number of prototype demonstrators.

Can we print organs?

Dr. Fabien Guillemot is the founder of Poietis, a bioprinting company which harnesses the Laser-Assisted Bioprinting technology to fabricate complex and customized tissues for regenerative medicine and pharmaceutical applications. He obtained his PhD in Materials Science in 2000 from the National Institute for Applied Sciences (Rennes, France). He was appointed in 2005 Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM, France). He initiated and led till 2014 the project Tissue Engineering Assisted by Laser (TEAL) which aimed at developing laser-assisted technologies for fabricating artificial tissues into which cells are organized into defined 3D micro-environments.
