Session Information

This workshop offers the opportunity for researchers to meet some of our experienced patient advocates. Do you need some Quality Assurance from Advocates on your work, or perhaps a bit of Patient Problem-Solving on a challenge that you face, or maybe you just want to talk over an idea or an approach in a Trusted Workshop Environment? We are looking for three biobankers to submit in advance a written outline of your challenges or plans or ideas, whatever it is that you want us to discuss that needs some patient engagement. We will supply some Patient Advocates who can offer useful advice and guidance based on experience, and all of this will happen in a session attended by other researchers, so that we can all share good ideas and positive vibes. The workshop will be roughly 60 minutes, and each proposal, idea or challenge will have up to 5 minutes for introduction/explanation from the researcher, then 10-15 minutes for input from the Patient Advocates and if possible, the wider audience too. Everyone in the workshop would attend for all of it, so that all attendees will benefit from the discussions.  We want to collaborate, co-operate, enable and empower!
