Information

With a global network of 24 data partners and growing, BC Platforms is committed to working with biobanks and hospitals everywhere to realize the full potential of real-world data. Our BCRQUEST.com  platform brings together data custodians and researchers to engage in new forms of scientific research, while the collaboration framework we provide allows biobanks to maintain ownership and control of the data at all times while adhering to global and local data privacy and security regulations.

In this workshop, hear directly from two different biobanks - the African Institute of Everyone Genome (AiEG) and Biobank Graz - and how we are supporting their data management and data sharing needs. Biobank Graz, located at Medical University Graz, is one of the largest and most well-known clinical biobanks in the world with around 20 million individual specimens of body fluids and human tissue, while AiEG, based in South Africa, is building the largest integrated clinical and genomics data biobank in the African continent, involving more than 10 million consenting patient genomes from all 54 African countries. Through this presentation, you will learn more about the difficulties that biobanks at different phases of development face and how BC Platforms is helping them to overcome these challenges, maximize the value of their data, and expand collaboration opportunities.
