For those who want to improve the power of their game, composer Olivier Deriviere will explain how to envision the role of music as an adaptive force that lives, breathes, and grows along with the gameplay as a means to profoundly deepen the player's experience. Olivier will describe the synergy between music and player, and more importantly, between composer and game developer. In this extended session he will showcase 3 of his games — one gameplay mechanic from each — to demonstrate how he and various developers approach music design for a powerful effect that enhances player interaction and memorability: the parkour mechanic from "Dying Light 2", the stealth mechanic from “A Plague Tale: Innocence", and the level structure from "Streets of Rage 4".
