Messaging & SMS and Voice corner: Panel 2: AIT: Finding the cure to the problem of SMS traffic pumping

Tackling fraud and its various and sophisticated nature of attacks by fraudsters has been a long struggle industry. However, in recent times one of the major fraud issues, Artificial Inflation of Traffic (AIT), has been the elephant in the room. The pumping of illegitimate traffic has had a destabilising effect on enterprise’s trust in SMS as a messaging channel, diminishing the effect of SMS monetisation strategies and the threat of significant changes in MNO pricing models.

In this session we will assess if and how AIT can be curtailed and the will of the industry to align on the issue of traffic being generated artificially.
