Open Source Neuro

Open Source Neuro (OSN) is an organisation dedicated to making neuroscience more accessible through open-source technologies, hands-on education and collaborative development.

A central aim of OSN is to lower barriers to experimental neuroscience by promoting affordable, adaptable and openly shared approaches to teaching, research and public engagement. This includes supporting intuitive, hands-on learning alongside computational and data-driven methods.

OSN works with researchers, educators, universities and non-profit organisations across different communities and resource settings, including through training initiatives and neuroscience summer schools in Africa. These collaborations reflect a broader commitment to making practical neuroscience education and research tools more accessible where resources, equipment or training opportunities may be limited.

By developing and sharing resources that can be reused, modified and improved by others, OSN aims to support a more open, transparent, reproducible and collaborative neuroscience community.
