Unlocking the talent, resources and legitimacy among governments and social entrepreneurs to accelerate meaningful social change. Framing Government leaders, in particular our Mayors, are emerging from the first wave of a triple crisis of Covid-19, economic hardship and racial injustice. Social entrepreneurs, for their part, have for years been organizing communities and creating fixes that work - commonly stepping up to meet needs left uncovered. Knowing how government’s resources and legitimacy are a most impactful path to scale, but also how for government social entrepreneurs provide a force for innovation, community organizing and new ideas it is surprising how little has been said about how social entrepreneurs and governments should work together. 

Key issues: What do social entrepreneurs and governments bring to the table? What does success look like when both sides come together? What happens behind the scenes as social change happens? How can we overcome the high rate of failure in this relationship? What is the role of the ecosystem of funders, supporters, communities in helping this relationship flourish?
