Street Dance Futures Across Southeast Asia (SDFASEA)

Street Dance Futures Across Southeast Asia (SDFASEA) connects artists across Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Australia to create a suite of new dance works. Each short-form piece emerges from a transnational residency-to-showcase pipeline shaped by community exchange and collaboration. Through intercultural connection, the project highlights Southeast Asian movement ecologies and profiles the region’s most innovative makers in street dance. For presenters, SDFASEA offers flexible, tour-ready works that can be programmed individually or as a collective performance, engaging diverse audiences and inviting the wider public to encounter the unfamiliar on stage.
