Information
ND Western Limited (NDW) is a leading indigenous Nigerian oil and gas exploration and production company incorporated in 2011 as a special purpose vehicle specifically established to acquire the 45% participating interest in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 34 from international oil companies. It is owned by a consortium comprising Aradel Energy Limited, FIRST Exploration & Petroleum Development Company Limited, and Walthersmith Exploration & Production Limited, and operates in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), which serves as the operator of the lease.
The Company’s operations are centred on OML 34 in the western Niger Delta, a strategic gas-rich asset that plays a critical role in Nigeria’s domestic gas supply and gas-to-power value chain. ND Western is a key supplier of gas to industries and power generation infrastructure, supporting energy security and enabling industrial and economic activity across the country and to West Africa.
ND Western’s installed infrastructure includes flow station capacity of approximately 105,000 barrels per day across multiple facilities and gas processing capacity of about 600 million standard cubic feet per day, providing a strong platform for sustained operations.
ND Western also holds an equity interest in Renaissance Africa Energy Company, the entity that acquired and succeeded the former SPDC joint venture assets, where it participates as a core partner within a large-scale joint venture structure, contributing to the governance and long-term development of these strategic upstream assets.
