Information

Founded in 1974, the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) serves the global upstream industry, bringing together around 100 organisations ranging from the major IOCs and NOCs to smaller frontier explorers and late life operators, leading service companies and local associations. Members collaborate and exchange knowledge spanning safety, engineering, environment, and the energy transition to deliver practical solutions to common challenges drawing upon collective industry expertise and deep technical knowledge, operational experience, shared learnings and leadership insight. It also leads industry dialogue with EU regulators and policymakers, striving to ensure that companies who fulfil Europe’s energy needs, either through domestic production or global supplies, are subject to technically sound and technology-open policies which equally address the EU’s sustainability, energy security and competitiveness goals. As the industry navigates a changing energy landscape, IOGP plays a critical role through its Standing Committees, Expert Groups, and Joint Industry Programmes, to develop recommended practices, data, and tools that help Members operate more safely, efficiently, and responsibly, and inform regulatory dialogue.
