The Central Energy Fund (CEF) is a Schedule 2 state-owned diversified energy company operating under the auspices of South Africa’s Department of Mineral and Petroleum

Resources. Established in the 1950s through the CEF Act (No. 38 of 1977), CEF has been instrumental in shaping the country’s energy landscape and ensuring long-term energy security.
