Farih Mitraningsih, Rudi Rinaldi, Aji Samiaji, Muhammad Riduan Adhael - A comprehensive corrosion engineering study has been done to ensure the integrity of 24 inch diameter and 60 km length of transmission pipeline against production figure changes during and beyond the initial design life . By design, the pipeline was addressed to transport the wet gas for 20 years design life with moderate level of top of line and bottom line corrosion likelihood. During production, the pipeline experiences some debottleneckings thus the corrosion likelihood increased, proven by the inspection result. Near to the end of design life, the new reserves combining oil and wet gas has been found surprisingly thus the life extension needed to accommodate. This paper summarizes the engineering study methodology and the results, thus the pipeline integrity able to sychronize the fit for purpose and production operation excellence.
