Information
Kleptocrats, criminals, traffickers and their accomplices have been ensuring the failure of anticorruption reforms and weakening democratic institutions. These are not news, not anymore. They run a highly sophisticated global enterprise, controlling an estimated 1 billion USD underground economy. Right under our noses.
This enterprise is a web of networks, individuals, and groups including kleptocrats, politicians, business leaders, enablers, bankers, criminals, and anyone in between. Their highly profitable, but often deadly ecosystem is growing stronger and rooting in more and more countries -destroying democracies and livelihoods as it grows. How to stop it?
