Roundtable
This roundtable has ended.

Information

A roundtable featuring the keywords "land," "audio guide," and "performativity" by three artists who practice touring performances using audio guide techniques in urban, city, and rural landscapes and physical environments rather than in theatrical spaces. While the three groups on the panel share similarities in launching experiences through on-site audio listening and an emphasis on research surrounding the land, they approach their creative work from different perspectives, including the scale at which they perceive space, the positioning of "movement," and their views on performativity. In this roundtable, the leaders of audio-guided tour performances — which is far from being a common practice in Japan — will introduce their practices, exchange opinions, and share some case studies with the audience.
