Uredd/Fearless - Developing and establishing artistic practices in the Nordic
Information
Uredd (Norwegian word for fearless) is a developmental program for emerging artists who want to establish their artistic practice in the independent performing arts field in Northern Norway. The Northern region of Norway is an area with a vibrant and dynamic art scene, located in the arctic, on indigenous land and with shared Swedish, Finnish and Russian border – all elements with impact on the life lived and arts produced. With Yohei Hamada (Japanese dance artist and Uredd-participant) present at the venue and Jenny Svensson and Anita Bjørkli (project manager and project coordinator of Uredd) on live stream from Norway, an introduction to the Uredd program and supported artists, Hamada’s artistic practice, and his experiences of establishing himself as an independent artist in Northern Norway will be presented.
