Ukani Malawi is a non-profit organization focused on empowering young women and girls, particularly young mothers, through education, vocational training and entrepreneurship. Founded in 2016, Ukani works to break cycles of poverty by equipping women with practical skills such as tailoring, cosmetology and digital literacy. Its initiatives, like the Young Mothers Project and the Breaking Red Project, support gender equality, provide menstrual health resources and enable economic independence. Ukani integrates social enterprise models into its sustainability strategy, helping women create marketable products, generate income, and contribute meaningfully to their communities across Malawi.
