Aatif Aquaponics Limited, based in Zanzibar, Tanzania, is a pioneer in Hydroponic and Aquaponic farming, operating the largest Hydroponic and Aquaponics farm in the country. Located in Kijundu, South Region, the company uses innovative agricultural technologies to address food security challenges by maximizing crop yields on non-arable land, including coral and desert conditions. Its organic produce is highly sought after in Zanzibar's tourism markets, and the company is scaling up to build three larger farms by 2025. Aatif Aquaponics Limited provides direct employment to over 12 youth and 10 indirect jobs, scaling up to employ over 50 youth by 2025. The company is currently working with the Ministry for Agriculture to modernize farming practices across the isles.
