Influenza Virus Capture Using Membrane Chromatography: Improving Selectivity by Matrix Design and Pseudo-Affinity Ligand Interactions
Poster Zone Area
Information
Membrane chromatography is consistently used in the purification of viral particles like adenoviruses or influenza viruses. The superior mass transfer and up to 10 times higher binding capacity of membranes compared to packed bed chromatography
make it the technology of choice for large molecules. Further, disposable, ready-to-use devices allow single-use chromatography unit operations.
This poster presents a novel cellulose-based stationary membrane whose specific surface area is designed for maximum virus accessibility.
