With a box-set narrative full of cliffhangers and almost unbelievable twists and turns, The Box explores how a serial killer in suburban, midwest America remained undetected for decades. Armed with potential new evidence that had laid untouched for decades within a long-forgotten box, Detective Chris Loudon believes his predecessors at his local police department at best covered up – or, at worst, were actively involved in– a series of horrific attacks carried out by Bruce Lindahl in the 1970s and 1980s.
As the mystery of why Lindahl was never charged gradually unfolds, could a monster have been hiding in plain site all along? The series goes deep into the stories hidden inside the box, combining the ongoing, present-day police investigation with the extraordinary and evolving story of a serial killer from the past.
