The Kavli Foundation

The Kavli Foundation is dedicated to advancing science for the benefit of humanity. Its mission is to stimulate basic research in astrophysics, nanoscience, neuroscience, and theoretical physics; strengthen the relationship between science and society; and honor scientific discoveries with The Kavli Prize. Kavli funds basic research through partnerships and portfolios designed to push the boundaries of science in the four fields and at 20 Kavli Institutes. Through its Science and Society program, Kavli supports the Kavli Centers for Ethics, Science, and the Public and other endeavors that ensure the people, processes and products of science contribute meaningfully to society.
