Hubble, 30 years in space

For 30 years The Hubble Space Telescope has scanned the Universe in search of its origin, gradually unlocking its secrets with stunning paintings of the cosmos. These images have made the telescope a superstar in the public imagination, and forever altered our view of deep space. From the very beginning with its chaotic launch in 1990, until now as it approaches the end of its life, the Hubble Space Telescope has fascinated the general public. Guided by world leading scientists we will embark on a series of remarkable adventures, from the operation of the telescope itself, to the scientific discoveries that have changed our view the Universe. Using the actual images captured by Hubble, animated to bring them to life, our film will immerse the viewer in the Cosmos in all its beauty and majesty. Along the way we will learn the life story of this extraordinary scientific tool, the superstar of telescopes, and how it captured the imagination of earth’s inhabitants. This film is currently in production in a 90’ version for France 5 in the prime time scientific slot and will be distributed by France Television Distribution in a 52’ version.
