REPLAY // Uplifting Black Voices in Science Communication

Science, as a human activity, is just as fallible as everything else in society—impacted by racism, sexism and classism.  Historically, scientists and science communicators have mostly been white men. This narrow perspective has determined which topics were studied, how they were examined, the ways that stories were told, and the audience demographic. In this panel, we'll discuss the historical approaches of science communication that have reinforced systemic biases and look at how to create a more diverse and inclusive approach.
