For nearly 30 years ARTE broadcast innovative documentaries, fiction, films, drama, magazine, music, performing arts & news shows in French and German simultaneously. 70% of Europeans can watch ARTE in their mother tongue: a selection of our programmes available online are subtitled in English, Spanish, Polish and Italian. ARTE’s mission is to foster understanding among the people of Europe and to bring them closer together.
