Global innovations in access to accurate diagnostics and essential medicines for children with cancer
Seaside Ballroom A
Discussion panel
Information
Despite advances made in the care of children with cancer in resource-rich countries, globally the disparities are striking. Of the more than 400,000 children who develop cancer every year globally, only half of them are diagnosed, and overall, less than 30% survive. Access to accurate diagnosis and to quality essential medicines are key to start addressing these gaps. In this session, panelists will discuss innovative platforms to accelerate the implementation of new diagnostic technologies and delivery of quality medicines to children with cancer globally.
