Cellulase and Pectinase Enzymes
Feedstock, Enzyme, Trace Element & Process Additives
Information
Cellulase acts as a catalyst for bacteria that convert Cellulose found in fibers such as in straw, maize silage, etc.. Pectinase, which helps bacteria that convert pectin which is found in for example rye.
These enzymes will improve the methane production, since it will help to convert the big chunky material in smaller biomass that can be further digested by other bacteria. So you either produce same amount of gas with a lower feed, or you increase the gas with feeding more material that gets digested in a shorter amount of time.
Recent test have shown improvement in methane production on maize silage with about 22% by adding our enzyme.
Cellulase can also be used to reduce the floating layer in the digester.
