Information

LPG - Helping you produce reliable grid-quality biomethane. Typically, all biomethane produced falls below the calorific standards demanded by National Grid. This can easily be resolved by the tried-and-tested method of blending lower-grade biomethane with around 3 to 4% of Calor LPG. It then becomes high enough quality to be sold to the grid. Producing grid-quality biomethane can bring in valuable extra income for your new anaerobic digestion (AD) plant. It’s easy to use, being controlled by the Grid Entry Unit (GEU), environmentally-friendly and costs surprisingly little to produce good quality biogas ready for the natural gas network. ‘Gas to grid’ injection is an ingenious way to turn naturally occurring waste - with the addition of some crops - into a useful product that has monetary value. It essentially involves selling biomethane produced from organic material, such as food waste, animal manure and agricultural by-products, to National Grid. - LPG is versatile energy that is already in widespread use by businesses worldwide wherever mains gas isn’t an option. - The cleanest of all fossil fuels. - Comes in a variety of storage options – from underground and below-ground tanks to cylinders. - Our experts would be able to recommend the best solution tailored to your needs. - Effective, tried-and-tested off-grid power for all aspects of your commercial activity
