Led by the ENA’s Thom Koller, this session will explore the vital role of green gas in decarbonising the UK’s gas grid, as well as the key role gas must play in delivering Net Zero by 2050. With the UK still heavily dependent on its gas grid for heating, moving away from gas fuelled heating would be very disruptive and require significant infrastructure change. ENA modelling has shown that green gas, along with energy saving measures, can deliver a net zero gas grid by 2050, but what are the challenges to getting there and how can these be overcome?
