Synopsis:

In this dynamic and participatory debate, we invite stakeholders from across aviation, to share insights and views in order to prioritise the pressing issues facing the industry.

The debate will ask participants to rank a number of themes before opening up to a debate that aims to find consensus and unlock new perspectives before a second vote to see if thinking has shifted as a result of the opinions shared.

Hosted and facilitated by Jo Rowan, Associate Director of Strategy at PriestmanGoode, the debate will ask participants (including a panel of experts) to consider the relative importance of:

• Passenger centric – The evolving requirements and anxieties of passengers and how to adapt to new passenger behaviour within the constraints of existing cabins and infrastructure - and reduced revenues. Is the customer still the key priority?

• Planet centric – Balancing the need to maintain the focus on a better future whilst dealing with immediate issues in the present. Can the industry afford to de-prioritize sustainability?

• Hygiene centric – Will new hygiene measures introduced become an enduring feature of air travel? Will these be counter-productive in terms of a return to previous passenger volume levels?

• Commercial success – Achieving brand trust by championing customer anxieties, whilst managing commercial restraints and navigating evolving travel guidance from governments. How can airlines find a balance between addressing concerns in the present but also keep a focus on future innovation?

The debate will aim to challenge perceptions to arrive at an understanding gained from views from different markets and voices in the industry.

Join this event if you are passionate about finding an optimistic way forward and if you believe that the obvious solutions are being overlooked. Or perhaps you see ways of dealing with new challenges in the present that will lead to a more robust customer value proposition in the future. We are looking forward to a lively debate.
