At Pangiam, our mission is to be the gateway to the world by creating a safer, faster, and more personal travel experience. It starts by making your business as dynamic as your passengers.

Pangiam was established in 2019 by former U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Acting Secretary Kevin K. McAleenan and former DHS Acting Chief of Staff Patrick S. Flanagan to fill a critical gap between the public and private sectors. Despite the best efforts of many national governments, the implementation of emerging technology to address critical border security and trade and travel facilitation and security use cases remains severely deficient.  Existing and rapidly emerging technologies – when combined with skillful and experienced execution – have the ability to revolutionize border security as a whole and re-envision land, air and sea ports across the globe.  

Pangiam was born to bridge the gap between the private sector and government – connecting private-sector technology to public-sector security and facilitation use cases through careful and trusted technology vetting and skilled and experienced implementation and operations management. 

Pangiam’s three primary practice areas – Ports and Borders, Consulting, and Technology – are structured to intentionally interact and overlap in order to most effectively fulfill this public-private partnership vision.
