Software Engineer BILD.de (m/f/d)

Bild.de, the news portal with the widest reach in Germany, is a technical challenge with high demands on flexibility, stability and speed. We are developing bild.de from scratch as a single page application with server-side rendering, which receives the data from our internally developed multi-client capable publishing suite and consumes, transforms and enriches it via a stream processing architecture. In addition to bild.de, we are planning the implementation of sportbild.de and bz.de. Become a Software Engineer with a focus on backend in one of our RED teams that are responsible for BILD.de • you are in charge of the development and operations of our JavaScript backend • work with different technologies like Express JS, Node JS and frameworks like Vue.js/Nuxt.js • develop APIs based on JSON, REST & GraphQL • use operations technologies/ services like Gitlab, Github Actions, Docker, Kubernetes • evaluate new technologies and frameworks • work closely with our Product & UX/UI teams in an agile environment You are a specialist in coding conventions and experienced in the main standard ECMA/ JavaScript versions • you're a creative developer that is proficient in modern web development methodologies • you are familiar with server side rendered applications • experience in JS UI frameworks are an advantage • you show a high level of commitment, initiative and responsibility • you have a solution-oriented and pragmatic way of working • just like us, you are a teamplayer and enjoy to communicate • you have profound Englisch skills and ideally good German skills - happily we support with German language classes
