As part of Vinted’s Security and Privacy domain, you will be supporting Vinted’s overall data privacy compliance initiatives and member experience. You will establish a clear roadmap for privacy by design and by default process and project plan as well as to ensure successful delivery of this initiative and objective. One of your main responsibilities will be to understand how we can most effectively ensure that no Engineering, Design, Product PbD errors happen when developing new privacy features which process personal data. As part of this, you will need to develop an overall data management policy, guidelines and controls to ensure privacy principles are incorporated into the product development process in line with different data privacy requirements.
You’ll become a part of the ambitious and data-focused Privacy Governance Team, which is centered on creating a long-term sustainable data protection program.
In this position, you will:
- Take the lead on establishing privacy by design and default process in product development
- Take the lead, from the privacy perspective, in the overall Vinted’s data governance strategy
- Prepare policy and guidelines on the rules of data management practices at Vinted
- Prepare automated controls and triggers to make sure we follow PETs (anonymization, pseudonymization and encryption) when developing systems/ product/ services that should preserve and improve privacy protections
- Communicate program progress, issue analysis to the key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Privacy Legal, Privacy Governance, Engineering, Product Teams to ensure that privacy by design and by default process in product development is in-line with the privacy operations cycle
- Interface with developers, architects to ensure privacy-related quality in the programming language, technologies, code, etc.
- Monitor industry best practices and trends
