Alto Adige Gewürztraminer

This wine grows in Missian, in the area of Eppan. The loamy limestone soil there provides the vines with a fair amount of mineral nutrients. The small crop of 4,000 kg/ha is picked at two different stages, resulting in an incomparable complexity. Two thirds of the grapes were picked when very mature. One third was picked one month later, as a late vintage, and did not fully ferment, so capturing high residual sugar, rich and dense aroma and complexity. It is a wine with high potential and great shelf life.
