Damilano Barolo DOCG Liste
Italian Docg wines
Information
This CRU originated around 13 million years ago by way of the erosion of the overlaying terrain. As a result, its composition is slightly different from other terroir located in the same area, and benefits from a full range of macro and micro elements that give the wine produced on this land a complexity and longevity that cannot be matched. Liste has therefore become synonymous of strength and virility. The wines made from these vines are robust, tannic and are at their best after a long aging time in bottle. This is the reason why Liste, compared to other barolo produced by Damilano family, has to complete 1 extra year of bottle refinement before being released on the market.
Liste represents Barolo’s austere soul, with a bouquet that typically includes dark fruits and notes of tobacco, tar, licorice and spices.
This CRU ha only 2 producers in the world: Damilano and Borgogno as the vineyard entirely belongs to these 2 families.
VINTAGE 2015:
Rust and dark berries with chocolate, plums, hazelnuts and currants. It’s full-bodied with chewy but polished tannins and a long, long finish.
