Barolo DOCG Lecinquevigne 2015
Italian Docg wines
Information
Barolo Lecinquevigne is a Barolo Classico.
In other words a classic version of the noble Piedmontese red wine, faithful to the most ancient traditions of the Langhe area. It is the maximum expression of the Nebbiolo grape, which finds its identity in this unique area.
“Lecinquevigne” literally means “the five vineyards”, indeed it is made with the fruit of 5 Nebbiolo vineyards located in different Barolo municipalities most suited for the production of Barolo wines.
Its nectar contains the best qualities of the limestone-clayey soils of the Langhe. The vines have an average age ranging from 10 to 50 years and the vineyards are mostly exposed to the south-east. The grapes are vinified separately according to their origin and their juices are blended only at the end of the aging period.
Barolo Lecinquevigne 2015 has an intense ruby red color with garnet hints.
It predominant notes are rose petals, dried cedar, hazelnuts and tobacco. It is very structured and powerful, but with enough generous fruit not to be hard nor intrusive. Full-bodied and long on the finish.
