Expert Talk with Mr. Kartikeya R Mishra, GM and Head, Corporate Operation Support, Technical Service and Digitalization, JSW Energy.

Kartikeya R Misra has 28 years of extensive experience in Operation, Maintenance performance management, Project Management, erection testing and commissioning of large thermal power stations, while maintaining the safe, reliable and environmental compliant. He has led and implemented various projects to improve Auxiliary Power consumption and Heat Rate in Thermal Power plant .He has a rich experience of implementing advanced maintenance practice  like TQM and RCM at large thermal power plants.

In his current role, he is heading Corporate Operation Support Technical Service department at JSW Corporate Office. He is also responsible for driving digitalization journey at JSW Energy. 

Prior to this role, he was heading Operation and Maintenance Function at JSW Energy 1690 MW thermal power plant at Vijayanagar (Bellary) and at 1200 MW JSW Ratnagiri Thermal power plant where he is instrumental in significant improvement of operational performance by reducing APC and Heatrate of the power plant and reducing Capital overhauling and Annual overhauling time in plant 

He is with the JSW Group for the last 8 years. His previous experience includes a 6-year stint with GMDC Ahmedabad as Dy. General Manager and 12 years at Gujarat Electricity Board at KLTPS 

He has completed his executive-PGP from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, PGDC in thermal power plant Engineering from NPTI Nagpur and BE (Elect.) from Saurashtra University, India. He is also a certified Energy Manager and Energy Auditor. 

He has also published many papers in international conference in field of Electrical Maintenance and Operation research.
