Information

The demand for gas by power producers is providing a bright spot for LNG sellers as demand elsewhere falls due to a global economic slowdown sparked by the coronavirus pandemic.  The increased use of gas comes as India's overall electricity demand is expected to fall this year for the first time in decades, with a likely fall in national coal-fired generation. The panel of experts will discuss the government interventions and strategies to salvage the gas-based power plants from becoming non-performing assets. The panel will also bring in discussion with technologists and power & utilities custodians on what technological solutions are the supply side players offering to increase gas’ share of the fuel mix.
