CoreTable

The CoreTable™ is a visualization tool that evokes deep conversation as groups huddle around the table and debate geological processes while viewing full scale, high resolution core photos. At one level it is simply a 65” touch screen mounted horizontally, although at another it is the familiarity to a ‘light-table’ that creates interest; a center-piece where for decades geologist stood around and debated interpretations. This modern-day light-table is re-connecting geology teams with their drill core, making core boxes globally accessible, rather than hidden away in core sheds; inviting technical teams at all levels to re-engage with core and contribute their knowledge. These interactions can extend to global meetings using multiple tables connected with screen sharing tools, allowing field geologists and managers to interact and share knowledge in real-time. Coreshed and CoreTable are driving a new era of core logging, where visualization hardware and AI fueled software is delivering computer-assisted logging.
