In conceiving his works, Bugiotti creates a perfect fusion between materials, which at first glance have irreconcilable characteristics, such as the warmth of wood, the coldness of marble, and the strength of steel, hard material par excellence, but thanks to its unparalleled mastery, in his hands this fusion has an almost liquid appearance. In his use of the marble of Orosei and the burls of olive trees, Bugiotti celebrates his land of adoption: Sardinia. Do not be deceived by the aesthetic simplicity because it is the achievement of multiple concepts which, even if complex, Bugiotti simplifies by summing them up in a “universal form”. His work, in addition to his orthodox sculptural study, highlights a profound conceptual testimony that clearly demonstrates the recognition and representation of the time in which he lives.
