Batch

Batch is the contemporary glass design studio of Jonathan Rogers and Phoebe Stubbs. We founded Batch to reinvigorate British glassmaking heritage and make opportunities for its thriving future.  We make bespoke and small batches of handmade tableware and  lighting for clients all over the world, working with other material specialists to ensure all our pieces are handmade in the UK.  The late 20th century saw an almost complete loss of British blown  glass production. We draw on this tradition’s processes and methods,  creating functional pieces that respect our craft’s history and ensures its future, in concept, process and training. 

Jonathan Rogers and Phoebe Stubbs have a combined experience  of over 40 years of glassmaking and design. Our shared passion for creating lasting functional glassware, led us to join forces in early 2021.  Our first two collaborative lighting collections, the Humbug and the Lantern, pay homage to British craft and industrial heritage.  We make objects for life, designed to be used, kept and cherished through the generations. All our designs have a deep investment in glass skills and technique, so the Batch piece you purchase represents the time, craftsmanship and dedication we imbue it with.
