The service comprises of:
3 Neurosurgical wards (David Marsden, Kinnier Wilson Unit and Murray Falconer ward with integrated telemetry)
Neurology (Charles Polkey Ward)
Friends Stroke Unit
Frank Cooksey Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit and Ontario Ward (located at Orpington
Hospital)
We have an exciting opportunity on the above ward which is a 20 bed emergency Neurosurgical ward for experienced Neuroscience nurses. As a band 6 nurse you will be expected to focus on the clinical leadership of the nursing team, actively supporting the Ward Manager in further developing the service and delivering a high standard of patient focused care.
You will be enthusiastic and motivated with demonstrable clinical experience relevant to the area. An appropriate post registration qualification and previous experience of leading a team is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
