Suitable for graduates working in educational settings, this programme will enhance and develop your knowledge of a range of learning difficulties, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of special education needs (SEN) and inclusion. There will be opportunities to reflect upon the importance of early identification of need as you enhance your awareness of how to recognise the indicators of a range of special educational needs. These include dyslexia, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Effective strategies to improve intervention will also be considered and related to your practice, underpinned by reflection upon a range of literature and legislation, as you gain an enhanced appreciation of how inspiring practice can support and augment the learning of those with special educational needs.
