This course is an introduction to autism. It is designed for people who might need to support children or adults who have autism. The course will provide the participant with the foundation to further develop their knowledge and skills. By the end of the course you will; know the basic facts about autism, recognise the common characteristics of autism, understand the important of communication, understand the sensory needs associated with autism and be able to use respectful language when discussing autism. For parents, families and carers this course is free. For professionals looking for more in-depth information there is a separate course for just £50.
