South East SENCo Support provide high quality, bespoke support packages to schools and other educational settings with an aim to improving provision for children and young people with SEND. Support can include training, mentoring and coaching, full SEND audits, strategic planning advice and more. 

School support can include -  

  • Friendly face: Sometimes being a SENCo is a lonely role. We can empathise with your challenges and celebrate your victories.  
  • Strategic planning: Do you need to write an action plan for the coming year? Do you have a clear vision of your whole school provision? We can provide an objective point of view to help guide you.   
  • Admin: Do you have the right paperwork in place? Do you have an EHCP or top up funding to apply for? We can help you to ensure you have all the relevant information.  
  • New SENCos: New to the role? Not sure where to start? We can help you review your school's provision and identify steps to take.  
  • Early Years SENCos: Do you have a clear approach to early identification and response to SEND? We can support you to ensure you have robust procedures in place.   
  • SENCo supervision: Need time to think? We can support you to think strategically about your own practive and role to have a positive impact on SEND provision.   
  • Training: Have you identified a need in your school? We can provide appropriate training to address this.

South East SENCo Support also guides parents and carers through the SEND systems; supporting with understanding school and local authority processes, writing statutory assessment requests and mediating between schools and other agencies.

Parent and carer support can include -  

  • SEND processes: Do you understand school or local authority processes? We can guide you through the processes and how school and local authority processes link together.  
  • Rights: Do you know your rights as a parent? Do you know what your child is entitled to? We can work with you and your child's school to ensure your child is getting the best provision.  
  • School meetings: Do you have a tricky meeting coming up? We can provide mediation.
