Our graphene-based heating coating offers a lightweight, energy-efficient and highly responsive solution for de icing and anti icing on aircraft leading edges. Seamlessly integrated into the aerodynamic structure, it delivers uniform heat of up to 200 °C with power densities of up to 6 W/cm², ensuring precise thermal control exactly where it is required. By concentrating heat locally, the system cuts energy use by up to ten times compared to conventional methods and eliminates the weight and complexity of embedded wires. Its fast thermal response enables on-demand de-icing, while the protective overlayer ensures durability and electrical safety. This technology contributes to the electrification and decarbonization of aerospace systems and supports the development of lighter, more efficient, next generation aircraft designs.
